Are you full of fear?

One of the many things that I appreciate about the Christian life is that Jesus said: “it is finished”! So what does this mean, I believe that Jesus wants us to trust in him and take full advantage of it all!

I like the scripture from Matthew 8:23-27 The wind and the waves obey Jesus.

Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marvelled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

The disciples were scared, the water was starting to cover the boat, I must admit I think I would have been a bit scared of water coming over the boat.

But then Jesus asked his disciples why they were fearful and said, O you of little faith! But when Jesus spoke, the sea became calm, there is so much power in the name of Jesus!

Maybe today you are fearful of something, maybe your business is going through a tough time or you’re marriage is going through a difficult period?

I have good news for you.

Jesus came to give life and life in abundance, he wants us to call on the name above all names Jesus and cast our fears upon him. It would be wonderful if Christians actually realised that the Christian life is a supernatural life!

Call on the name of Jesus

I heard the story of a Christian farmer who had a large maize crop and at the time the farm was suffering from a terrible drought. The plants were literally withering away in the summer heat. Can I ask you what you would do in this situation?

Thankfully the farmer was a man of faith and he called on the name of Jesus and the skies changed from sunshine to heavy rain. Apparently, it rained heavily all night and the farmer received a bumper harvest. This is what happens when we call on the name of Jesus.

Drop the fear, keep the faith!

I can recall in my own life many times when I have called on the name of Jesus and he has answered immediately! Are you fearful today, are you calling on the name above all names?

I urge you to call on the name of Jesus and to expect to see the miraculous!
