You Can Choose The Words That You Speak
Do you know that you can choose the words that you speak, we need to be so careful what comes out of our mouth, in other words, we need to control our tongue. Let’s speak positive words about our future.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Apparently men and women average around 20,000 words per day, although I’m sure that I know people who speak a lot less words and people who speak many more works than this! Our thoughts often determine what we say, before I was born again, I could often get in very negative conversations and actually enjoyed it, even now I have to check myself to make sure that I don’t get involved in negative conversations. Sometimes if a conversation is becoming negative, I will actually walk away and tell people I do not participate in this type of conversation.
The world is full of discouragement and negative people, unfortunately, the media fills us with negative things they very rarely tell us when something good has happened. Whether you are a Bible-believing Christian or not, we all need to be encouragers, not critical discouraging people! To cause discouragement is totally unacceptable to God. Let’s be people who encourage those around us!
Before I was born again, I had a very low opinion of myself, I did not speak positive words over myself and I would run myself down in front of people. Once I received my born-again spirit and I knew who I was in Christ, my thought life totally turned around, such a wonderful thing.
I want to speak life
When we bring God’s word into our lives, things turn around, it worked for me and it can for you, I trust God’s word 100%! We need to align ourselves with God’s word, believing in his word and acting on the word of God, changes everything. I absolutely love encouraging people into their full destiny, I love surrounding myself with people who live the supernatural Christian life and to encourage people into what Jesus has done for each and every one of us. I know that God’s word is full of supernatural power, I have seen this firsthand myself and this is why I want to speak life to those around me.
Are you speaking good things about your business?
Psalm 19:14 is a good Psalm to remember; Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Are you speaking good things about your business and your personal life, God knows what we speak and think and it is so important we do what the word says.
Sometimes, if we have been used to speaking negative things, it takes time to bring our thought life around to biblical principles, but we need to constantly check what is coming out of our mouths, let’s choose positive words and see what happens.
How about doing this?
I remember my Principal at Bible school often starting the day with, “It’s going to be a good day”, “Have faith in God!”, “I believe great things are going to happen”.
I always like to start my day by reading the Bible and praying, I challenge you to try, it works!
