In this blog post and video, I want to show you how to find your scheduled posts, Reels and Stories on Facebook. Scheduling content on Facebook can save a considerable amount of time, particularly if you run a Facebook Page. I often schedule my own content in advance because it allows me to prepare posts when I have time. Facebook can then publish them automatically throughout the day or week.
However, there is another side to scheduling content that is equally important. Once you have scheduled several posts, Stories or Reels, you need to know where to find them again. You may want to check when something is due to be published or make a change. Perhaps you need to reschedule an item or simply confirm that everything is ready to go.
I recently discovered that finding all your scheduled Facebook content is not as straightforward as you might expect. I had been using the Content Library in the Facebook Professional Dashboard to check my scheduled posts. However, when I started scheduling Facebook Stories, I couldn’t find them where I expected them to be.
That discovery prompted me to look more closely at the Meta Business Suite Planner. It provides a much better overview of your scheduled content. You also get a useful calendar showing what has already been published and what is coming up next.

Why Schedule Your Facebook Content?
Before looking at where scheduled content is located, it is worth considering why scheduling can be so useful. You don’t have to remember to open Facebook at a particular time every day. Instead, you can prepare several pieces of content in advance and choose when each one should be published.
This can be particularly helpful if you are running a business or building an online presence alongside other commitments. You can create your content when it suits you and still maintain a regular publishing schedule. It also makes it easier to plan several days ahead without constantly wondering what you need to publish next.
I use Facebook Pages for my own online activity, and I like the separation between business and personal content. If you are still getting to grips with Facebook Pages, you may also find my Complete Guide To Facebook Pages useful.
Finding Scheduled Content In The Facebook Content Library
The first place I normally go to check scheduled Facebook content is the Professional Dashboard. From your Facebook Page, open the Professional Dashboard and look for the Content section. You can then select Content Library, which gives you access to both published and scheduled content.
When you select the Scheduled tab, Facebook displays the content that is waiting to be published. You can see a preview of each item, together with its scheduled publication date and time. At first glance, this seems like the obvious place to find everything you have scheduled on Facebook.
That was certainly my assumption, and it worked perfectly well for checking my regular scheduled posts. The confusion started when I began scheduling Facebook Stories and expected them to appear alongside everything else. They weren’t showing in the Scheduled section in the way I expected. However, published Stories were appearing elsewhere within the Content Library.

Why The Content Library Can Be Confusing
The name “Content Library” suggests that this should be the central place for all your Facebook content. When you also see a Scheduled tab, it seems reasonable to expect all scheduled content to appear there. Unfortunately, that isn’t necessarily what you will find.
Facebook and Meta Business Suite do not always organise features in the way we might naturally expect. Different types of content can appear in different areas, and Meta also changes its interface periodically. As a result, finding something as simple as a scheduled Story can take longer than expected.
Facebook Reels are another important content format that many Page owners are experimenting with. If you are interested in my experience, you can read My First Facebook Reels ā Do They Work?. In that post, I look at my early results from using Reels.

Using The Meta Business Suite Planner
The better way I found to get an overview of my scheduled content was through Meta Business Suite. Once you open Meta Business Suite, look at the menu on the left-hand side and select Planner. This opens a calendar-style view of your content instead of simply presenting everything as a list.
I find this particularly useful because you can immediately see how your content is spread across the calendar. Content that has already been published is visible, while scheduled content appears at the appropriate future date and time. This gives you a quick overview of what is happening with your Facebook content.
In my case, this was also where I could see the Facebook Stories I had scheduled. Some of my content was being published to both Facebook and Instagram. The Planner made it much easier to see what was due to appear and on which platform.
Looking Ahead At Your Scheduled Content
Another useful feature of the Planner is the ability to move forward through the calendar. You may have posts scheduled several days or even weeks ahead. If so, you can quickly move to those dates and see what you have planned.
This is much easier than trying to remember which posts you created and when they are supposed to appear. The calendar gives you a visual overview, so you can see your upcoming content at a glance.
A calendar view can also help you identify gaps in your publishing schedule. You may discover that one day has several pieces of scheduled content while another day has nothing. Seeing the bigger picture makes it easier to maintain a consistent approach to publishing.
Consistency can be important when you are trying to generate more traffic and build an audience. Facebook is only one potential source of visitors, of course. I have previously looked at A Different Way To Get Facebook Traffic if you would like to explore the subject further.
Editing And Rescheduling Facebook Stories
Finding your scheduled content is useful, but the Planner also gives you options for managing it. When I selected one of my scheduled Stories, Facebook gave me several choices. I could reschedule the Story, share it immediately or delete it.
This can be helpful if your plans change after you have prepared your content. Perhaps something has happened that makes a Story less relevant than it was before. Alternatively, you may decide that it would work better at a different time. Instead of starting again, you can simply make the appropriate change from the Planner.

Managing Scheduled Facebook Posts
Regular Facebook posts offer even more options when selected from the Planner. In my demonstration, I could edit, duplicate or reschedule the post. I could also move it back to drafts or delete it. Facebook provided another option to create an advertisement through Ads Manager.
The duplicate option could be useful when you want to create another post based on something you have already prepared. This saves you from having to start from scratch. Moving a post back to drafts can also help when the content isn’t quite ready. You can keep the work you have already completed and return to it later.
What About Scheduled Facebook Reels?
Facebook Reels can also form part of your scheduled content strategy. Personally, I use scheduled posts and Stories more frequently. However, the Planner provides a broader view of content across your Facebook and Instagram activity.
This makes it a useful place to check the different types of content you have planned. You may only use one or two content formats at the moment. Even so, it is worth becoming familiar with the Planner if you publish regularly on Facebook.
As you experiment with Stories, Reels and other features, the calendar overview can become increasingly useful. It provides one place where you can look ahead and see what you have planned.
Facebook Stories Are Worth Exploring
I have only recently started making greater use of Facebook Stories. Therefore, I am still learning how the different features work and how they fit into my Facebook activity. One advantage of Stories is that they give you another way to put content in front of your followers.
You don’t have to rely entirely on conventional Facebook posts. Stories provide another format that can complement the content you are already publishing on your Page.
Scheduling Stories also means you can prepare them in advance instead of publishing everything manually throughout the day. Once you start scheduling them regularly, knowing where to find them becomes much more important. That is exactly how I discovered the usefulness of the Planner.
Content Library Versus Meta Business Suite Planner
I don’t think the Content Library is something you should stop using. It remains useful for viewing published content and checking many of your scheduled posts. The important point is that it isn’t necessarily the only place you should look.
The Meta Business Suite Planner gives you a different perspective because it presents your content on a calendar. For me, that makes it particularly useful when checking Stories. It is also helpful when looking ahead at everything scheduled over the coming days.
If you regularly create Facebook content, I would suggest becoming familiar with both areas. The Content Library provides a straightforward list of content. Meanwhile, the Planner is particularly helpful when you want to see your publishing schedule visually.
Don’t Be Afraid To Explore Meta Business Suite
There are considerably more features within Meta Business Suite than I have covered here. You will find areas relating to drafts, goals and other aspects of managing Facebook and Instagram. As with many online platforms, becoming familiar with everything can take some time.
I prefer to learn these features when I actually need them rather than trying to master everything at once. Sometimes I discover something useful that wasn’t immediately obvious. When that happens, I like to share it because other Facebook users may have experienced the same problem.

Final Thoughts
Scheduling Facebook content is a very useful feature, but you also need to know where to find it afterwards. The Professional Dashboard and Content Library provide one way of viewing your published and scheduled posts. However, the Meta Business Suite Planner gives you a much clearer calendar-style overview.
The Planner became particularly useful when I started scheduling Facebook Stories. I couldn’t find them where I expected them to be in the Content Library. Once I opened the Planner, I could see my scheduled content across the calendar. I could also quickly check what had already been published and what was still waiting to go live.
If you regularly schedule Facebook posts, Stories or Reels, take a few minutes to explore the Planner for yourself. It may save you the same confusion that I experienced. It can also give you a much better overview of your Facebook content schedule.
I will continue sharing what I learn as I explore more of Facebook and Meta Business Suite. Perhaps you have found another useful way of managing your scheduled Facebook content. You may also have a question about something covered in this article. If so, please feel free to leave a comment below.
