In this video and blog post, I want to talk about how you can grow your LinkedIn page. LinkedIn can be a powerful tool for growing your online presence, but many people overlook one of its most useful features for business pages: the ability to invite your existing connections to follow your page. In this post, I will show you how to grow your LinkedIn business page using the built-in “Invite connections” feature and a few simple best practices.
If you haven’t created your page yet, you may want to start with my post on

Why Growing Your LinkedIn Business Page Matters
Your LinkedIn business page acts as a hub for your brand on the platform. It’s where you can:
- Showcase your services, products or content.
- Share updates, articles and videos.
- Build credibility and trust with potential clients.
- Reach more people beyond your personal profile.
The more followers your page has, the more people will see your content in their feeds, which can lead to more engagement, more website visitors and, ultimately, more business.
Step 1: Go to Your LinkedIn Business Page
First, log in to your LinkedIn account and go to the homepage. On the left-hand side, you should see your profile and any pages you manage listed underneath.
You can access your business page in one of two ways:
- Click on the page name under your profile on the homepage.
- Or click on your profile photo in the top menu, open the drop-down list and go to the section where it shows the pages you manage, then select the page you want.
Once you click through, you’ll be taken to your business page in admin mode, where you can edit the page and access the analytics.
Step 2: Make Sure You Are in Admin / Edit Mode
LinkedIn lets you view your page either as an admin or as a regular member. To grow your followers using the invite feature, you need to be in the admin view.
Look near the top of the page to check whether it is showing the admin tools and editing options. If you see an option like “View as member”, that means you are currently in admin mode (which is what you want). If it says “View as admin” instead, click that to switch to the admin view.
Step 3: Go to Your Page Analytics
One of the slightly confusing things about LinkedIn is that the follower growth feature isn’t always obvious. You might expect it to be on the main page, but it’s actually tucked away inside your analytics.
On the left-hand side of your business page, you should see a menu that includes an option called Analytics. Click on this.
Once the analytics area opens, you will see several tabs at the top. Click on the Followers tab. This is where LinkedIn shows you information about your follower growth and provides access to the “Invite connections” feature.
Step 4: Use the “Grow Your Followers” Section
Scroll down the followers page and look for a section labelled something like Grow your followers. Under this section, you should see a button called Invite connections.
When you click on Invite connections, a window will open showing your LinkedIn connections that you can invite to follow your page. LinkedIn allows you to invite a certain number of connections each month, typically up to around 250.
This is a very useful way to quickly grow your page, because you are inviting people who already know you or have connected with you previously.
Step 5: Choose Who to Invite
You do not have to invite everyone at once. In fact, it is often better to be selective and invite people who are likely to be interested in your page and its content.
Here are a few suggestions:
- Start with people who are in your industry or niche.
- Invite past clients, colleagues and business contacts.
- Invite people who have already engaged with your content in the past.
As your page grows and you create more content, you can return to this area each month to use any new invitation credits that LinkedIn gives you.
Important: Add Content Before Inviting
Although it’s very tempting to start inviting people immediately, I would strongly recommend adding some content to your page first. If someone clicks through after receiving your invitation and your page looks empty, they may not feel inclined to follow.
Try to add at least a few posts before sending invitations, for example:
- A short introduction to you and your business.
- A helpful tip or tutorial relevant to your audience.
- A link to a blog post on your website.
- A quick video explaining who you help and how.

Why the “Invite Connections” Option Sometimes Doesn’t Show
In some cases, you might not see the “Grow your followers” section on your page. This can happen for a few reasons:
- You’re viewing the page as a member and not as an admin.
- Your page is brand new and LinkedIn is still updating options.
- LinkedIn’s layout may change slightly from time to time or display features differently.
If you don’t see the option straight away, try the following:
- Double-check you are in admin mode.
- Refresh the page or log out and back in.
- Leave it for a little while and check again, especially if the page is very new.
Additional Tips for Growing Your LinkedIn Business Page
Inviting your connections is a great start, but here are a few more simple tips to keep your page growing:
- Post consistently: Even one or two posts a week can make a difference over time.
- Share your page: Share your page posts from your personal profile so your existing network can see them.
- Add your page to your website: Include a LinkedIn icon on your website that links to your page.
- Engage with comments: Reply to comments on your posts to encourage more interaction.
Final Thoughts
Growing a LinkedIn business page doesn’t need to be complicated. By making use of the “Invite connections” feature, adding helpful content and staying consistent, you can gradually build a targeted audience who are genuinely interested in what you offer.
