How To Turn Crypto Into Pounds Using Revolut (Step-by-Step)

In this video, I want to show you how to turn crypto into pounds using the Revolut app. If you are in the UK and you have crypto sitting inside your Revolut account, you may be wondering how to turn it back into pounds (GBP). In this post, I will walk you through the simple process I use inside the Revolut app. If this is the first time on my website, thank you for browsing, we also have a Facebook page, which you can see here.

This is especially useful if you have received USDT (or another crypto) and Revolut shows a balance, but it is not immediately obvious how to convert it back into spendable cash.

Why It Can Feel Confusing At First

When you are new to Revolut crypto, it is easy to think you are “selling money” or that you have to do something complicated. In reality, you are simply converting your crypto balance back into GBP.

Once you have done it once, it becomes straightforward.

Step 1: Go To The Crypto Section In Revolut

  • Open the Revolut app.
  • From the home screen, tap Crypto (or find Crypto via the menu if it is not visible).
  • Scroll until you can see your crypto holdings or the relevant crypto asset (for example, USDT).

Step 2: Open The Crypto Asset (For Example, USDT)

This is an important step. If you only tap a single transaction, you may not see all the options you need. Make sure you tap the actual crypto asset itself (such as USDT) so you are on the asset screen.

Step 3: Tap “Sell” And Convert To GBP

  • On the crypto asset screen, tap Sell.
  • Enter the amount you want to convert (or use the maximum if you want to convert it all).
  • Tap Review order.
  • Tap Confirm order.

After you confirm, go back to your home screen and you should see your GBP balance updated.

What If The Screen Goes Blank Or You Cannot See The Sell Option?

In my video, the screen briefly went blank while I was doing this. If that happens to you, do not panic. Close and reopen the app, then go back into the crypto section and try again.

If you cannot see “Sell”, double-check you are viewing the crypto asset screen (for example, the USDT screen) rather than just a single transaction screen.

Final Thoughts

Turning crypto into pounds inside Revolut is simple once you know where to tap. If you are unsure the first time, that is normal. The main thing is to go into the Crypto section, open the crypto asset (such as USDT), tap Sell, review the order, and confirm.
