Why I Didn’t Quit Affiliate Marketing – But Added This

In this video and blog post, I would like to talk about, why I didn’t quit affiliate marketing – it added this. I’ve been involved in affiliate marketing for a long time, and I still believe it is one of the best long-term ways to build an online income. It is proven, it is scalable, and it rewards consistency. But it also takes time, and it requires ongoing learning, testing, and patience.

That is why I haven’t quit affiliate marketing. Instead, I have added something alongside it, after testing it properly for several months. I also, very much like the idea of having multiple streams of income, having an online business and enables me to do this. Incidentally, we do also have a Facebook page, which you can see here.

Affiliate Marketing Still Works (If You Treat It Like a Long-Term Plan)

I think a lot of people quit affiliate marketing for the wrong reason. They often quit because they expected quick results. In reality, affiliate marketing is more like building an asset. You create content, you build trust, you grow traffic over time, and you earn commissions by recommending helpful products or services.

If you are new to the concept, or you want a simple explanation of how it works, these posts will help:

Affiliate marketing is still a foundation for me, but I am also realistic. Bills come in, life changes, and sometimes it makes sense to add something else alongside what you are already doing.

Why I Like Testing Things (Before Talking About Them)

I have always enjoyed testing platforms and opportunities. Not chasing shiny objects, but genuinely testing things to see what is real and what is not. I prefer to understand what I am involved with before I start speaking about it publicly.

That approach has served me well. It is also why I’ve stayed committed to ongoing learning. I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate since 2014, and it has helped me stay current with what is working online.

What I Added (And Why I’m Keeping It Low-Key)

About six months ago, a friend introduced me to something new. At first I didn’t fully understand it, but I trusted the person, and I decided to test it rather than dismiss it. I’ve now been doing it for several months, and it has been going very well for me.

I am intentionally keeping this blog post focused on the wider principle, because the details are better explained in a dedicated presentation. If you try and explain something like this in a few paragraphs, it is too easy to miss important points or create confusion.

So instead, I created a presentation that takes you through the process clearly. If you want to understand what I’m referring to, watch that presentation first, and then come back to me with any questions.

You Don’t Have To Build A Team (But Support Helps)

One important point I made in the video is that you do not have to build a team at all. When I first started, I wasn’t even thinking about that side of things. I could see the potential without it.

However, I was asked if I would like to help others, and over time I have done that. I now support a small group of people, but the main point is this: support matters, especially when someone is learning something new.

If you relate to that idea, you may find this post helpful:

And this one ties in with the bigger picture of staying consistent and being around the right people:

My Approach for 2026: Keep What Works, Add What Helps

For me, 2026 is not about jumping from one thing to another. It is about keeping what works, improving what I can, and adding extra streams carefully if they genuinely help.

Final Thoughts

I didn’t quit affiliate marketing because it still works. But I did add something else alongside it after testing it properly. If you would like to understand what I’ve added, watch my presentation first, and then feel free to contact me with questions.
