Today, we’re going to be unboxing the Blue Yeti Nano premium microphone. I’ve just purchased this from Amazon, and I was planning to purchase it back in 2020, but I ended up buying a different microphone. I think it was a bit more expensive than this one at the time. It was during the lockdown when everyone was buying microphones, so the Blue Yeti wasn’t available.
Budget Fifine Microphone
I bought a cheaper model called a Fifone microphone based on good reviews, which I have to say – I don’t know if you can see it here on camera, it looks alright, but I didn’t use it very much. It could be partly due to the room I’m in, but I found it a bit echoey, so I haven’t used it much, to be fair. It’s been sitting on my desk connected, but I actually prefer this Sennheiser headset, which I’m wearing right now. I purchased it back in 2021, and it’s been brilliant with loads of use. I also use it for Dragon Naturally Speaking, it’s good for accuracy.
Un-Boxing the Blue Yeti Microphone
So, let’s come back to unboxing the Blue Yeti Nano premium microphone. It’s boxed up nicely, so let’s go ahead and unwrap it. It’s well-secured inside the box. Inside, we have the instructions, a quick start guide, a stand, and one screw which I believe is for a different type of microphone stand. So in total, we have one Blue Yeti Nano premium microphone, a screw, and a 2-meter USB cable. Let’s take it out of the bag. It looks like the screw probably goes in the back here, I’m guessing that’s for a different type of stand; probably one of those swinging stands good that can be used on a desk. They seem to be very popular at the moment, especially in America. I can never see the point of having a massive microphone and stand that blocks the screen!

I’m going to do another video later to compare the difference between the three microphones I mentioned: the budget Fifinemicrophone, the Blue Yeti, and my German Sennheiser headset (or however you say it).
