How to Post on Your LinkedIn Company Page

In this blog post and video I want to talk about, how to post on your LinkedIn company page, in other words, creating new posts on your new page. If you’ve recently created a LinkedIn company page (also called a LinkedIn business page), the next step is to get some content on there so it doesn’t look empty when people visit.

In this post, I’m going to show you exactly how to create a post on your LinkedIn company page, add an image, and then schedule the post so it goes out at a later date and time. I’m also going to show you where to find your scheduled posts so you can keep track of what’s going out and when.

This is the approach I’m using myself: schedule several posts over the next couple of days, so the page has a bit of life, and then start inviting people to follow the page once there’s something there for them to see. Don’t forget to follow me on my Facebook page, which you can find here.

Why It’s Worth Posting Before You Invite People

It’s very tempting to create your company page and immediately start inviting people to follow it. The problem is: if they click through and the page looks empty, it doesn’t give them much reason to follow you.

My preference is to add a handful of posts first (for example, 5–6 posts scheduled over the next 2–3 days). That way, when someone visits the page, they can see what you’re about and the type of content you share.

How To Get To Your LinkedIn Company Page

There are a couple of ways to access your LinkedIn company page:

  • From the LinkedIn homepage, use the menu area where your pages are listed and click your company page.
  • Or click your profile/menu (top navigation) and select your company page from there.

Either way takes you to the same place. The important thing is you are viewing the company page as the admin, so you can post and manage content.

How To Create A Post On Your LinkedIn Company Page

Once you’re on your company page:

  1. Click Create.
  2. Choose Start a post.
  3. Paste or type your content into the post box.

If you’re doing what I’m doing, you’ll have already written a few short posts in advance. This makes it much easier to build momentum, because you’re not trying to think of what to write each time.

Adding An Image To Your LinkedIn Post

Images can really help a post stand out, especially when your page is new and you’re trying to make it look more established.

To add an image, you can usually do it in one of two ways:

  • Drag and drop the image into the post area.
  • Or use the image upload option and select the file from your computer.

In my case, I created the image using Wealthy Affiliate’s built-in image tools. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good the images come out, and it’s made it easier to create consistent visuals for posts.

If you want to see my Facebook approach as well (because the principle is similar: post first, build up content, then grow), you may find this useful:

How To Schedule Your LinkedIn Post

Instead of posting immediately, you can schedule your post so it goes out tomorrow (or any date you choose).

  1. Once your post is ready, look for the scheduling option (the small scheduling/clock feature in the post area).
  2. Select the date you want it to go live.
  3. Select the time (for example, 2:00pm).
  4. Click Next, then confirm by clicking Schedule.

One thing to watch out for: depending on your settings and location, you may notice the date format looks “American” (month/day) rather than “UK” (day/month). Just take your time and double-check you’ve chosen the correct day before you schedule it.

How To View Your Scheduled Posts

After you schedule a post, it’s a good idea to check it’s in the queue.

To find your scheduled posts:

  1. Click Create.
  2. Click Start a post.
  3. Click inside the post area, then look for the option that shows scheduled posts.
  4. Select View all scheduled posts.

You should then see a list of posts you’ve scheduled, along with the dates and times they are due to go live.

What To Post On A New LinkedIn Company Page

Your posts don’t need to be complicated. The main goal at the start is to populate your page with content that fits your niche and shows people what you’re about.

Here are a few simple post ideas that work well for a brand new page:

  • A welcome post: who you are and what the page will cover.
  • A short tip: something practical your audience can use.
  • A “tool I use” post: share a tool that helps you and why.
  • A behind-the-scenes post: what you’re working on this week.
  • A simple question post: ask something related to your niche to encourage comments.
  • A short post pointing people to a helpful tutorial you’ve created.

The key is consistency. Even a short post every day (or scheduled every day) makes the page feel active.

My Simple Strategy: Six Posts In Two Or Three Days

The approach I mentioned in my video is straightforward:

  • Create and schedule around six posts.
  • Spread them across the next two or three days.
  • Once the page has visible content, start inviting people to follow.

This helps avoid the “empty page” problem. When people arrive, they can immediately see posts, images, and topics that make the page feel real.

Final Thoughts

Posting to a LinkedIn company page is simple once you’ve done it a couple of times. The real win is using scheduling properly, because it helps you stay consistent without needing to remember to post every day.
