In this video and blog post, I want to show you how to grow your Facebook page. Yesterday we were looking at creating a Facebook page. If you’re starting a Facebook Page from zero, this guide shows the exact process I’m using on my new page. We’ll cover posting your first updates, commenting as your Page to get visibility, and a simple weekly routine that builds consistent engagement.
Why Facebook Pages Still Matter
Pages went through a quiet period, but they have traction again—especially when you combine regular posting with thoughtful commenting as your Page. The key is to show up consistently with short, useful posts and genuine engagement on other pages where your audience already spends time.

Step 1: Set Up and Post Your First Update
- Create your first post: Keep it short, useful, and personal to your audience. Avoid external links in the main post if you can—Facebook tends to prefer native content.
- Place links in the comments (optional): If you must share a link (e.g. a related video), add it as the first comment and consider pinning that comment later.
- Make it your own: AI is a good assistant for brainstorming, but the post should reflect your voice and experience.
Step 2: Switch to Your Page and Engage as Your Page
- Switch profile: Click your profile picture (top right in Facebook) and select your Page. Facebook will reload using your Page identity.
- Follow relevant Pages as your Page: Search for topics like affiliate marketing, online business, YouTube growth, WordPress, and entrepreneurship. Follow them as your Page, not your personal profile.
- Comment thoughtfully: Add short, relevant comments that add value. Avoid dropping links immediately—build visibility first. Your Page name shows beside your comment, which helps discovery.
Step 3: A Simple Weekly Engagement Plan
- Mon: Publish one useful tip (80–120 words) + 1 image. Ask a simple question at the end.
- Tue: Comment on 3–5 posts across relevant Pages as your Page.
- Wed: Share one short video clip or screen-capture with a quick takeaway.
- Thu: Comment on 3–5 more posts. Reply to anyone who engaged with your Page.
- Fri: Post a brief “lesson learned” from your week. Optional: link in the first comment.
- Weekend: Light engagement—react to comments and welcome new followers.
Posting Guidelines That Work
- Frequency: 3–5 posts per week is plenty to start.
- Format mix: Short text posts, images/screenshots, and short native videos.
- Hashtags: 1–2 is enough (e.g. #AffiliateMarketing, #OnlineBusiness).
- CTA: End posts with one simple question to invite replies.
- Voice: Keep it human. Use AI for ideas, but write like you talk.
Commenting Tips to Build Followers
- Be first or be thoughtful: Early comments get seen; otherwise add a concise, useful insight.
- Name the point you’re reacting to: “Totally agree about consistency—posting short tutorial clips doubled my engagement last month.”
- Avoid “drive-by” comments: Add something specific so people want to click your Page.
- Follow up: If someone replies to your comment, respond. Relationships build reach.
Using AI Wisely
AI is excellent for brainstorming hooks, outlines, and variations—but the best-performing posts are personal, specific, and clearly written in your voice. Let AI assist, not replace, your content.
