New YouTube Channel Gaining Traction
I thought that I would make a quick video update about my new YouTube channel gaining traction. Five days ago, I created a video about my new YouTube channel, which has been going on for just over one month now. Just in the past four days, the channel seems to have gained considerable traction. You can see my previous blog post regarding starting a YouTube channel, one month in, here
For the last month, I have been posting every day. When I first started, I posted a couple of videos and then waited a week before I added daily videos. So, for the past month, I have been adding videos on a daily basis.
One of the reasons I am creating these videos is so that we can learn from each other, hence why I am documenting my journey. I have two other YouTube channels, which I haven’t posted regularly. This is partly due to time and partly due to the fact that they are to give people information rather than grow the channel. I haven’t been pushing the channels, it’s just a means of sharing content with others. However, this channel is more of an evangelistic outreach channel, and I thought I would try and post every day. Of course, that is easier said than done, but I aim to try and post on a daily basis.
New YouTube Channel Gaining Traction
This video entitled “insanity” seems to attract a lot of views. You can see that this video was uploaded five days ago and has received 1.5 K views. There is an old saying that I have heard in the past and that is, “you never know the mind of Google” or words that affect! The video didn’t get seen straight away, but then suddenly, the video took off!
YouTube Channel Analytics
Let’s look at the YouTube channel analytics. You can see in the video that this was where I uploaded my first videos. You can see where I have published videos and where the graph has peaked. Quite a large rise on the 26th of January, 213 views, to be precise. You can then see that the line has been steady for several days and then suddenly on the 14th of February, the views go up to 923 views. I’m not quite sure why that is, but I know I have been posting daily, which I’m sure helps considerably. You can see that yesterday was down to 457 views.
I don’t exactly know why the views suddenly went up; maybe viewers just liked that particular video. It’s important that the main thing is that we post regularly, whether it’s on YouTube or if we are writing blog posts. I do both! So, in other words, consistency is key. I believe that in this way, Google takes you seriously. I believe it’s a bit like a shopfront; the shopkeeper has to keep changing his shopfront to draw people into the shop! It is very early days at the moment, as the channel is very new. I will just take one step at a time and keep posting regularly.
You can see here, in the video content section, all the videos that I have put up and all the views and likes and comments that they have received. You can see that the number of views is mixed. One video has 18 views, another video has 12, another video has 30 views, and then see the video with 1595 views. So, I don’t know if the high viewing figures were because people liked the thumbnail, or the title, or maybe it just received a few likes which made YouTube show the video more. You can see that it has received 31 comments and 103 likes.
You can see that the results are quite mixed; one video that I created has just had one view for some reason! It is hard to work out why one video has had 1595 views, and another video has had just one view.
The reason I have created this video is just to show you real and genuine results. I am not an expert, despite having two other YouTube channels. However, I have been working online for some time; however, one thing is for sure, like all of us, I never stop learning! I’m just sharing my experience as I go along. I will do another update later as the YouTube channel gains traction.
My top recommendation for beginners that want to work online, is a platform that I have belonged to for nine years; you can see the platform here. It’s free to create account and no credit card is required. You can also see my profile page within the platform right here.
