How To Get Your Facebook Page Indexed In Google Quickly

The title of my video and blog post today is how to get your Facebook page indexed in Google quickly. Recently, I created a new Facebook page for my online business. After about a month, I typed my name into Google and was surprised to see that my Facebook page did not appear at all. Even when I searched for my name plus the word “Facebook”, there was nothing.

In this post, I want to show you the exact steps I took to help Google find and index my Facebook page more quickly. None of these steps are complicated, but together they send strong signals to Google that your page is real, active, and connected to the rest of your online presence. You can also see my post on my Facebook Page.

Why Your New Facebook Page May Not Show In Google

When you create a brand-new Facebook page, Google does not automatically add it to the search results. Google needs to discover the page, decide that it is worth indexing, and then add it to the search index. This can take time, especially if:

  • The page is very new (only a few weeks old).
  • There are no other websites linking to it.
  • There is very little content or activity on the page.

The good news is that you can speed things up by creating proper links to your Facebook page and by treating it as part of your overall online strategy.

Step 1: Link From Your Website To Your Facebook Page

One of the first things I did was to add a link from my website to my Facebook page. In my case, I added the link on a page within my site alongside my other important links. This is simple to do and very effective.

For example, you might add a short line such as:

“You can also follow me on Facebook here:” and then include a clickable link to your Facebook page.

If you are writing about an offer or a promotion, you can also link to a relevant Facebook post. On my blog, I did this in my article about the Wealthy Affiliate Black Friday promotion, where I added a link inviting readers to check out my Facebook post about the deal.

Step 2: Add Your Facebook Page To Your YouTube Channel Links

The next place I connected my Facebook page was my YouTube channel. Inside YouTube Studio, there is a section where you can add external links that appear on your channel page. I already had a link to my website, but I had not added my Facebook page.

To add your Facebook page as an external link on YouTube:

  1. Go to your YouTube channel and click “Customise channel”.
  2. Open the section where you can manage your “Links”.
  3. Add a new link with a label such as “Facebook” and paste in your Facebook page URL.
  4. Save the changes.

This creates another strong, trusted link pointing to your Facebook page. It also gives your viewers an easy way to connect with you on Facebook.

Step 3: Use A Link Hub (Such As Linktree)

I also use a link hub service (such as Linktree) where I gather my main links in one place. If you are using a similar service, make sure your Facebook page is included there too.

This gives you another page that links out to Facebook, and you can share this link hub in your social profiles, email signature, and other places online.

Step 4: Link To Your Facebook Page From Blog Posts

Another simple but effective tactic is to place links to your Facebook page and even to individual Facebook posts inside your blog content.

For example, in a recent blog post I wrote about the Wealthy Affiliate Black Friday deal, I added a line inviting readers to “check out my Facebook post here” with a direct link to the post on Facebook. This shows both visitors and search engines that the Facebook page and the website belong together.

You do not need to overdo it. Even one or two well-placed links in relevant articles can make a difference over time.

Step 5: Keep Posting On Your Facebook Page

Links are important, but so is activity. If your Facebook page sits with almost no content, it is less likely to be prioritised by Google or by Facebook itself.

Here are a few ideas to keep your page active:

  • Share your latest YouTube videos.
  • Post links to new blog posts.
  • Share short tips or quick updates about what you are working on.
  • Occasionally share a behind-the-scenes update or a question to your audience.

On my own page, I aim for at least a couple of posts per week. I also make sure my Facebook page includes a link back to my website and my YouTube channel in the “About” section. All of this helps to build a consistent picture of your online presence.

Step 6: Be Patient While Google Catches Up

Even after you create these links, it may still take a little while for Google to crawl the pages, follow the links, and decide to index your Facebook page. This is normal. The key is to put the right structure in place and then continue working as normal on your blog, your YouTube channel, and your social content.

As you continue to publish more content on your website and YouTube channel, Google will keep revisiting those pages. Each time, it has another opportunity to follow the links to your Facebook page and index it.

Final Thoughts

When my Facebook page did not appear in Google, it looked at first as though there was a problem with the page. In reality, I simply needed to help Google find it and see that it belonged to an active, genuine online presence.

By linking from my website, adding my Facebook page to my YouTube channel links, including it in my link hub, and continuing to post regularly, I am now giving Google and Facebook all the right signals.

If you have created a new Facebook page and it is not showing in Google yet, I would encourage you to follow the steps above and then give it a little time. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below, and I will do my best to help.
