How Long Does It Take To Make Money Online?

How long does it take to make money online? This is a question that many people often ask me, but the biggest problem is, are you willing to work and are you willing to take action? Unfortunately, in this world, I have seen far too many talkers, who want the money, but don’t want to work. I started doing small jobs before I left school, I was self-employed at the age of 18 and 30+ years on I’m still working for myself, but it hasn’t always been easy. We have to take action, we have to be consistent and we have to overcome problems on a regular basis, however, I love the freedom that working for yourself brings.

I Started Making Money Within 24 Hours!

I had my very first moneymaking website back in 2007, within the first 24 hours of this website going live I had sold my first product and made an affiliate commission, this was a great start for me! However, I spent three years researching and learning how to make money online, in fact, I learnt the hard way, you can read part of my story here, so hopefully, you will not make the mistakes that I did! I actually had a Webmaster build my first moneymaking website, in fact, this was my second website, as my Webmaster built my first website for my off-line business back in 2004.

My first moneymaking website was built from scratch, it was before WordPress was really popular and also I didn’t want anything to do with the technicalities of building a website as I felt I had enough work to do just adding content to my website. The website took a few months to build, but my Webmaster enabled me to have access to the back office which enabled me to start adding valuable content to my site, this was very useful as when the site went live my website contained a terrific amount of content which gave me a head start, this is probably why I had my first sale within 24 hours.

So Realistically, How Long Does It Take To Make Money Online?

As I mentioned earlier, I made a sale within 24 hours of my website going live, however, I did have a head start as I had preloaded a lot of content, it also seems like Google very quickly indexed my website which led to me being found in the search engines, which was great news.

If you speak to successful Internet marketers their aim is to be making money online within six months to a year, this may sound a long time, but as we know time goes very quickly and you will soon find that six months have gone past and if you are regularly adding blog posts to your website you will soon be making money.

If you take a look below you can see a graph that a friend of mine created, it shows how his website grew in popularity over the months of 2018, he is now actually making over $7000 a month which is a fantastic result! However, he has worked hard and consistently to achieve this result, he hasn’t stood still, he’s just taken solid action which is something we can all do.

In my experience, I believe that consistency is the biggest key to making money online, if you can try and do something productive on a regular basis, it will make a huge difference to your website rankings. For example, if you can write a blog post every day I appreciate this may not be possible, for some of you it may be one blog post per week, however, the key is to be consistent. I believe that you’re better to write one blog post per week rather than seven blog posts in a week and then nothing for three months and then another seven, this is just inconsistency and will not help you rank in the search engines.

How Do I Start To Make Money Online?

As some of you know, I have been making money online since 2007 and started researching the subject back in 2004, however, I was working totally blind and brought into many scam products that didn’t produce what they said on the packet! I literally spent thousands on various products trying to find out how to make money online, it seemed that most of the products had the vital ingredient missing, which therefore made the products completely useless.
