With any business, you have to be prepared to invest money. If you don’t have this mindset, I’m afraid that you are almost set up to fail. The great thing is with an online business is that it is probably the cheapest business that you could ever set up! Many off-line businesses require huge amounts of capital, that’s not to say that they don’t work, but it can be expensive setting up a traditional business.
So, when I hear the question, can I use a tablet or smartphone to start my online business? I really wonder how serious that individual is! As far as I am concerned smartphones were really created to make phone calls, send messages and occasional emails. However, it appears to me that many people spend many hours a day in front of their tablets or smartphone.
If you’re serious about your online business, you really need to set yourself up with a decent laptop or desktop computer. It’s also important to have a PC that has enough power to cope with the task that you require. This is especially so if you plan to be doing video editing, using speech recognition software and uploading videos. If you are not set up with the proper tools creating an online business just becomes hard work.
I personally use a Dell Latitude laptop and a Dell Precision workstation. When I am looking for a new computer, I will often go on to Dell’s outlet site and see if they have any special offers. It’s also good to check Dell’s main website as special offers are coming and going all the time. Of course, there are many other good computer manufacturers, it’s just that I have always used Dell products and been satisfied.
Why Struggle
To be fair, the majority of us own a laptop or desktop computer. I see no point in trying to struggle on a mobile phone or tablet when there is something far better. To my mind, some people just make hard work of something that should be straightforward! It’s important to have a few basics in place before you start your online business.
