Why I Disagree With The Ultimate Wealthy Affiliate Review
In this brief blog post, I want to discuss briefly why I disagree with the ultimate Wealthy Affiliate review that recently caught my attention. I discussed this more in-depth in my video review below. You can also see my getting started post here. As a loyal member of Wealthy Affiliate for nearly nine years, I believe it’s important to provide a more comprehensive perspective on the platform. My aim is to address the criticisms raised in the review, share my in-depth and honest experience, and offer valuable insights into the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
Wealthy Affiliate: An In-Depth Look
Before we go into the review, let’s take a moment to understand what Wealthy Affiliate is all about. Wealthy Affiliate is a comprehensive platform designed to educate individuals on how to create and manage successful online businesses. It caters to a diverse audience, spanning beginners, intermediates, and highly accomplished entrepreneurs. As someone who has been part of this community since 2014, I can assure future members that the process works well and is 100% genuine.
Critiques From The Review – A Closer Examination
Now, let’s explore the many aspects that I disagree with presented in the review and examine them in greater detail.
1. Best Affiliate Marketing Course
The review contended that Wealthy Affiliate did not rank as the top affiliate marketing course. While this may be true, it’s essential to recognize that what makes Wealthy Affiliate valuable isn’t just about being the “best” but offering a proven and effective resource. The training provided within the platform is robust and caters to a wide range of skill levels. I agree that there are lots of beginners on the platform, which is great! I actually wish that I had found the platform when I first started out researching Internet marketing, which was back in 2004. It would have certainly saved me a lot of time and money, however, we all live and learn!
2. Wealthy Affiliate’s Target Audience
The review implied that Wealthy Affiliate primarily targets individuals with no prior experience in online business or affiliate marketing. While the platform is indeed an excellent starting point for beginners, it’s essential to dispel the notion that it exclusively serves newcomers. Wealthy Affiliate also accommodates intermediate and highly successful entrepreneurs. I know for a fact that there are people who joined the platform who were already highly successful. And then at the other end of the scale, there were people that joined the platform with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever. However, some of these people have become highly successful, which I find really encouraging and a joy to see young people turning their lives around!
3. Reputation
it may be the ultimate review, but I think it is rather harsh on Wealthy Affiliate’s reputation. However, in my years as a member, I’ve consistently found the platform to have a brilliant reputation. It’s renowned for its supportive community and genuine commitment to helping members achieve success. I write on a few forums across the Internet, but I have to say that Wealthy Affiliate is by far the most friendly and helpful forum by a long way. I admire the owners who managed to keep the forum and the community such a friendly and helpful place.
4. Refunds
The author claimed that Wealthy Affiliate doesn’t provide refunds. In contrast, I’ve personally witnessed cases where refunds were issued. The platform maintains a fair and customer-centric approach when it comes to addressing billing issues and ensuring satisfaction. The great thing is with the platform that you can test it for free and then sign up for one month to see if you like it or not. $19 is not a lot of money to invest in a business to test it out fully.
5. Member Recruitment
The review expressed concerns about members being encouraged to recruit others. While some members do promote Wealthy Affiliate, it’s not the sole focus of the platform. The training is versatile and applicable to various niches and products. I know of many members that do not promote Wealthy Affiliate, they just focus on their own niche. The great thing is with the training is that it can be used to promote the platform, but it can also be used to promote your own niche. I have personally used the training to help me with my off-line business. By utilising the training it helped to get my off-line business of the ground seriously quickly back in 2016.
6. Success Stories
The review suggested a lack of significant success stories from Wealthy Affiliate students. In contrast, I’ve witnessed numerous members achieving substantial success through the training and support provided by the platform. These success stories showcase the platform’s efficacy and are a testimony that the platform genuinely works. I believe that one of the problems people have with an online business is that they join a platform like Wealthy Affiliate and then literally expect to make money overnight. There are literally no businesses that do this, whether they are an online business or an off-line business. With every business, you have to work hard to move forward, an online business is no different. Sometimes I get the feeling that people want to do nothing and expects a great return, I’m afraid life’s not like that!
7. Training Updates
I have always found the training to be kept reasonably up-to-date, although the review criticized Wealthy Affiliate for having rarely updated core training material. This is inaccurate. The platform consistently updates its training to keep pace with evolving industry trends and technologies. The problem is with any online training platform, the contents can fairly quickly become outdated. Let’s say you have a video on how to use Google analytics. You could create a nice video on the subject and the next week Google could update their analytics interface. We have to be real and realise that training can become outdated, but in my experience, the platform does a good job of keeping it updated.
8. Internal Ranking System
If I have any criticisms of the platform it could possibly be the internal ranking system. However, I believe the ranking system was put in place for a bit of fun and also for members to share with others their experience of the platform, which includes struggles and wins. The fact is that Wealthy Affiliate is such a trustworthy platform, they want to encourage you to talk about not only your wins and your struggles as well. Through doing this, it can really encourage others and help everyone to learn. While rankings can be a motivator for some members, it’s essential to understand that they don’t define success within Wealthy Affiliate. The true measure of success lies in the application of the training and building a thriving online business.
I have known of people who rank really highly on the platform and yet some of them are literally making very little money or even no money whatsoever! I guess where the ranking system fails is that new members to the platform could think these people are highly successful. However, all they are really doing is using the platform as a social media platform rather than using it as a training course to gain knowledge and to start or grow an online business.
Cost And Membership Levels
Wealthy Affiliate offers three membership levels: Starter (free), Premium ($19 for the first month, then $49 per month), and Premium Plus (annual payment). I highly recommend starting with the free membership to gain an initial understanding of the platform. For those looking to delve deeper and access advanced training and tools, the premium memberships offer excellent value and serve as an investment in your online business education.
Conclusion – A Balanced Perspective
In summary, my extensive experience as a long-term Wealthy Affiliate member has provided me with a deep understanding of the platform’s strengths and minor imperfections. While no platform is flawless, I firmly believe that Wealthy Affiliate is a legitimate and effective resource for individuals seeking to establish and grow successful online businesses. It’s crucial to remember that success within Wealthy Affiliate depends on your dedication, commitment, and action.
