Why Have I Set Up A YouTube Channel

I want to tell you the reasons why I have set up a YouTube channel, back in 2004 I had my first broadband Internet connection and to me, this is what changed the face of the Internet, it literally changed overnight for me! I hadn’t used a PC at all until in 2001 I had my first desktop PC, I didn’t have a clue how to use it and I found it absolutely unbelievably frustrating! There were a few times when I felt like throwing out the window, not proud of this type of behaviour, but was just so frustrating!

Don’t make the mistakes that I made!

So I want to help you start your online business the right way, I don’t want you to make the mistakes I have made over the years, and I can tell you I have made a lot of mistakes, I learnt the hard way. Thankfully now I know what works and what doesn’t work, I know what is a scam and what isn’t a scam, I want to bring to you on this YouTube channel what is good and works and stop you making the mistakes that I made. One thing that I can tell you for sure is that bright shiny object syndrome does not work, I had this problem where I thought the next, by product this will be the best thing since sliced bread, I’m sorry that doesn’t work, I’ve tried it! I can tell you how to get started the right way and I can be here to try and answer your questions regarding your online business.

It’s A Joy To Help Others Succeed

For me, it is a joy to help others succeed, I don’t believe that any of us should struggle financially, I believe that there are enough resources for us all to be able to make money, I really do love to see people succeed!

So What Changed Me

The Internet is a fantastic invention, it really has changed how we live, but prior to having broadband back in 2004, I had the old-fashioned dial-up modem, which was so painfully slow, literally it was only good for sending the odd email, providing the attachment was very small! The day I had my first broadband connection literally changed the way I thought about the Internet. Immediately, I could see the power of the Internet, the Internet suddenly became usable, I could see the potential of literally reaching thousands of people across the world! But now I had to find out how to make money online, this was the hard bit, as I didn’t know a thing about making money online!

I Spent Three Years Researching

I literally spent three years researching Internet marketing and how to make money online in 2004, I really didn’t have a clue what to do but I just started to research, I would put in questions like how to make money online, how to work from home. As you can imagine I had all sorts of great headlines come up, headlines like cash machine, turnkey profits, money goldmine, 0 to $10,000 in a day, you can imagine it, it sounded so good, but the reality was that most of these products were spam products.

I Spent Thousands Of Dollars

I spent thousands of dollars trying to find the right product on how to make money online, I was just working so blind, I didn’t know where to start, but I was kind of learning things in a mixed up way. I would literally buy a product that promised everything and then discover that it was really a nothing product and it would get me nowhere. The good thing is that of all these products I purchased, I did learn something and a few the products that I purchased were genuine, the biggest problem I had was that I was just working blind, this is not good, we need to have a plan, we need to have goals and we need to know exactly where we are going, otherwise we will literally go nowhere.

My First Money Making Website Was In 2007

I actually had my first website in 2004, but this was created for my off-line business, My first money making website was in 2007 and the first day the site went live I made a sale, this was so encouraging! The website was actually a Google AdSense website which is something that I will write about another time. Google AdSense is a platform that puts ads on your website and when people click on them we earn a small amount of money. The commissions we earn from these ads can vary considerably, for example, if it was an ad for a car it would probably just earn a few cents, however, if it was an ad for a bank loan or similar product we could earn much more, probably one or two dollars.

Listen To The Right People

There are many people in this Internet marketing world that will try and sell you a scam product, in my experience in life it is very important to have the right people around us, having the right people around us will move us forward, but having the wrong people around us will make us go backwards, we have a choice, let’s choose the right people! I was in Bible school a few years ago and the principal of the Bible school who was highly successful always used to tell us all to run from the wrong people, I have never forgotten this, it is so important! I have come across so many people in my life in business and socialising but what I have realised is that there are some people that you just have to run from, if someone is holding you back, run from them, in other words, run as you’ve never run before!

You Will Receive Much Criticism Regarding Internet Marketing

Something that I have experienced in life is that most people do not understand the concept of Internet marketing and how you can make money online, they really do not get it. The majority of people that I’ve met have literally never made a pound or dollar online, however, they seem to think that they have the knowledge to tell you that Internet marketing is a scam, you can’t make money online, you’re just wasting your time, it won’t work! Sometimes these people can actually be people who are very close to us, I have chosen to ignore these people, not totally, but on the Internet marketing subject as this sort of talk can hold us back.

I have learnt to discuss Internet marketing only with people who are genuinely interested and want to listen to what I have to say! It’s something I’ve never been able to understand, people will tell you that an online business doesn’t work and they will also tell you that what you are doing will not work, what they don’t realise is that it takes time to build an online business.

I have owned three off-line businesses and I have made money online since 2007, some things work better than others, the main thing with an Internet business is to be consistent, take action on a regular basis and listen to the right people. An Internet business takes time to build, we have to be prepared to have a few months setting a business up before we actually start earning money.

I Have Worked For Myself Since I Was 18

I have worked for myself since I was 18 and even before I left school I was doing weekend jobs and after-school jobs, I believe that this helped to give me a good work ethic and set me up for life. I guess that I will never work for anyone again as I’ve been self-employed for over 30 years, time goes quickly!

So To Conclude

So, I plan to make many different YouTube videos, there will not be anything fancy about my videos, but I will give you genuine information on a regular basis, in other words, the do’s and don’t’s of an online business.
