Techsmith Camtasia Screen Recorder And Editor – Special Offer
In this video, I would like to talk to you about Techsmith Camtasia screen recorder and editor – special offer. I have used both of these products for a number of years, I believe I first started using Camtasia around 15 years ago. Camtasia is the more expensive product and the product that I use mainly for video screen casts and editing, etc. You can find more blog posts and videos about Camtasia here.
There Is Currently A Special Offer On All Techsmith Products, Which Includes A 25% Discount On All Their Products. It’s Definitely Worth Taking Advantage Of The Special Offer.
However, SnagIt is also a good product and it’s okay if your budget is a bit tight. However, Camtasia does have more functionality overall. In general, I use Camtasia for screen recording and SnagIt for taking screenshots, which it’s absolutely brilliant for. If I’m making a video about how to use Camtasia, I then have to use SnagIt to make the recording. In other words, I can’t use Camtasia and make a recording about the software, I have to use different screen recording software! Hence, I have Camtasia and Snagit. You can see my video about Camtasia.
Buy As A Bundle
You can actually buy Camtasia and Snagit as a bundle, which gives you a better price. I purchased Camtasia and Snagit separately as Snagit was not available when I first started using Camtasia. I can definitely recommend both products from my own personal experience.
One of the many things that I like about Techsmith products is that they have training videos to take you through the whole learning process. I believe that Camtasia has 81 training videos, however, you do not need to go through every video to start using Camtasia. Both Camtasia and Snagit have a lot of functionality. Thankfully, Camtasia comes with a video which is called, “learn Camtasia in five minutes”!
Camtasia Editing software
Obviously, with any video editing software, there are things that you need to learn, but it’s all explained in the videos. The good thing is that you can use Camtasia at a very basic level and still get your point out to the community. Many of my videos are how-to videos, so they don’t have to be particularly fancy.
Camtasia Maintenance
However, Techsmith does offer something called maintenance, which provides you with free software updates to Camtasia and Snagit. It also gives you support which can either be through chat or telephone. That technicians will actually show you how to do a particular task if necessary, by taking over your computer, which is extremely helpful.
Another benefit of the maintenance package is the fact that you can take a certification course for Camtasia and Snagit. I’m actually carrying out this course at the moment, which takes you much deeper into all the functionality. It’s definitely worth doing and to me the maintenance package offers value for money and lots of convenience. It means I always have the latest version of Camtasia and Snagit. As Techsmith is continually adding functionality and improvements to their products.
Camtasia Assets
Finally, we have Techsmith assets for Camtasia and Snagit. This enables you to add videos, images and audio to your videos. There are free assets, which are slightly limited, however you can buy an annual asset pack that gives you access to thousands of images and videos etc. I’m not using the paid version of Camtasia assets yet, but it’s something I will be using and taking up the special offer.
To Conclude
When I first started using screen recordings, Camtasia was almost the only choice, as far as I know. Or maybe it was the only good choice. It appeared that literally all Internet marketers who were using screen recording software were using Camtasia. I did try a few other pieces of screen recording software over a period of time, but the software I tried was very basic.
There are now more products available, but as I have used Camtasia for many years and I’m happy with the performance, I’m reluctant to change to anything else. I have also seen Camtasia continually improve the software and add many features over the years.
Now that I am carrying out the certification course, I plan to continue using Camtasia. I know that I am only using a few of the features that Camtasia offers at the moment. I know that it is capable of a much more and can create videos that stand out more.
Camtasia also offers a free trial for 14 days, I believe. This is a good way of testing the software out if you are on the fence regarding purchasing. It’s also a good time to take advantage of the Cyber Monday offer.
